SisuFitness gym · Heinola · Open 24/7

Recovery is part of the training.
Not a soft extra.

The meditation studio is a quiet room members use themselves whenever they like — it is included in your membership and there is nothing to book. Once a month the studio also runs a guided session, 18 €. Rahanni and Reiki are a different thing: fully clothed, lying on a treatment couch, about an hour — and booked and paid for separately. The sessions are given by Jenni, who is trained in both Reiki and Rahanni and qualified as an instructor in both — she teaches them as well as gives them. A session is 65 €. All of it is in the same building as the gym, which is open 24/7.

Why this is here

Hard training on its own is not enough

The gym floor is full of ways to take load: free weights from 1 to 60 kg, plate-loaded machines, a sled, kettlebells. That is half of it. The other half is what your body does once you have put the weight down.

So there is a quiet room. The meditation studio is not a soft extra bolted onto the edge of a membership — it belongs to the training in the same way the stretching area and a rest day do. It has a grey brick feature wall, a wood floor and geometric pendant lamps that throw flower-of-life patterns on the wall. There are floor mats, two round rattan floor cushions and plants, plus a full-height mirror, candles, a singing bowl and essential oils. It is there so that after your last set there is somewhere to sit quietly for a while.

Once a month the studio also runs a guided session, priced at 18 €. There is no product for it in the shop, so you sign up by asking: ring 044 978 9941, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, email us or ask at the gym.

Rahanni and Reiki are a different matter, and we offer both. They are not part of a membership: a session is booked and paid for separately and costs 65 €. The sessions are given by Jenni, who is trained in both Reiki and Rahanni and qualified as an instructor in both. There is no product for them in the shop and no online calendar — you arrange a time with a person, on the phone or at the desk. Further down we set out what happens in a session, and what we do not claim about it.

Two things, on different terms

The studio and the healing

One comes with your membership and one does not. That is the difference worth knowing before you come in.

Included in membership

Meditation studio

A warm, low-lit room: a grey brick feature wall, a wood floor and geometric pendant lamps throwing flower-of-life patterns on the wall. There are floor mats, two round rattan floor cushions and plants, a full-height mirror, candles, a singing bowl and essential oils. You walk in whenever it suits you: before a session, after one, or on a day you are not training at all.

Rahanni and Reiki

Energy healing, both Rahanni and Reiki. The sessions are given by Jenni, who is trained in both and qualified as an instructor in both: she teaches them as well as gives them. You stay fully clothed throughout and lie on a treatment couch, under a light blanket if you want one. Jenni rests her hands lightly on or just above the body and moves them unhurriedly from one position to the next. No massage, no manipulation, no stretching. The room is quiet. Allow about an hour.

When the quiet room earns its place

Four moments for a quiet room

You do not need to know how to meditate. Sitting down and breathing is enough.

01

Straight after a hard set

When your heart rate is up and your head is still racing, there is a quiet room to sit in for ten minutes before you get in the car.

02

Before a late session

There is a quarter of an hour between work and training where the day can be put down.

03

On a day you cannot face training

Not every day is a training day. Come in anyway, sit for a while, then go home.

04

When home is never quiet

A quiet room at home is not something everyone has. There is one here. The gym is open 24/7, so it can be six in the morning or eleven at night.

What happens in a session

Start with the concrete part: who gives the session, the room, the couch, the clothes, the hour and the price.

The sessions are given by Jenni. She is trained in both Reiki and Rahanni, and in both she is qualified as an instructor as well as a practitioner: she teaches them as well as gives them. We run both, and a session is 65 €.

You stay fully clothed the whole time. You lie on your back on a treatment couch, under a light blanket if you want one — and if lying down does not suit you, the same thing works seated. Jenni rests her hands lightly on or just above your body and moves them slowly from one position to the next. There is no massage, no manipulation of joints, and nothing to prepare for. The room is quiet, sometimes with soft music playing. Allow about an hour.

Rahanni Celestial Healing is younger than most people assume: it was developed in England in 2002 by Carol Anne Stacey, a Reiki Master. Reiki is Japanese and dates from the early twentieth century, developed by Mikao Usui. From the outside the two look much alike: clothed, lying down, light touch or no touch at all, roughly an hour. Practitioners describe both as working with energy. We pass that on as the tradition describes it, not as a claim of our own.

People report very different things. Some feel warmth or tingling, some relax deeply, some fall asleep partway through — and some feel nothing in particular. All of those are normal, including the last one. We are not promising you an experience and we are not promising you a result.

This belongs in the description of the service rather than in the small print: Rahanni and Reiki are not health care. They sit alongside medical care and do not replace it. Jenni does not diagnose and does not give medical advice, and a session is never a reason to delay or skip an appointment with your doctor.

Rahanni's own organisation says the two are not mixed in one session: you book a Rahanni session or a Reiki session, not both at once. We run both and they cost the same, so when you get in touch just say which one you would like.

A session, step by step

Four steps and no surprises

If you have never had one, this is the whole of it.

You arrange a time with a person

A session is 65 €, and it is given by Jenni. There is no shop product and no online booking, so you arrange a time with a person: ring 044 978 9941, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, email info@sisufitness.fi or ask at the gym.

You turn up in ordinary clothes

No special kit is needed. Anything you are comfortable lying still in will do. Shoes come off, and you can put your watch and your phone to one side.

A short conversation with Jenni, then you settle on the couch

You and Jenni go through what happens in the session and what you would like from the hour. Then you lie back on the treatment couch, under a light blanket if you want one. Seated works too.

Hands, quiet, and about an hour

Jenni rests her hands lightly on or just above your body, moving unhurriedly from position to position. You lie still. At the end you get up in your own time, have a glass of water and go.

What membership covers and what it does not

Two different things, on different terms

The meditation studio

A quiet room for relaxing and breathing. Members use it themselves whenever they like, and it is part of your membership with nothing to book. Once a month the studio also runs a guided session, 18 €, which you book by asking.

  • Included in every membership
  • No booking — walk in
  • Relaxation and breathing
  • Guided session once a month, 18 € — ask at the gym
  • Gym open 24/7 with the app or a key fob

We are not claiming the room fixes anything. It is a calm space where you are allowed to be quiet.

Rahanni and Reiki

A separate service in the same building, and we run both Rahanni and Reiki. The sessions are given by Jenni, who is trained in both and qualified as an instructor in both. A session is not part of a membership: it costs 65 €, and the time is arranged by phone or at the desk.

  • Given by Jenni — trained and qualified to teach in both
  • Fully clothed, lying on a treatment couch
  • Light touch or no touch — no massage
  • A quiet room; allow about an hour
  • Not included in membership — 65 € a session, booked and paid for separately
  • No shop product — ring, message or ask at the desk
  • We do not offer physiotherapy or health care

Rahanni and Reiki sit alongside medical care and do not replace it. Jenni does not diagnose and does not give medical advice. We make no health claims about a session and we promise it no effects.

Getting started

Three steps

The studio comes with a membership. Rahanni and Reiki are a separate ask.

Join, or book a free trial visit

A membership opens the gym floor, the group room and the meditation studio. The free trial visit is one visit with nothing to commit to. You can pay by card, ePassi or Smartum.

Ask where the studio is

Ask at the gym, or ring 044 978 9941, where the studio is and how to get to it, so you are not hunting for a door halfway through a session.

Rahanni or Reiki: ring us or ask at the desk

A session is 65 €, and it is given by Jenni, who is qualified to teach both Reiki and Rahanni as well as to practise them. There is no shop product and no online booking for these, and that is deliberate: the time is arranged on the phone or face to face. Ring 044 978 9941, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, email info@sisufitness.fi or ask at the desk.

Who gives the sessions

Jenni gives the sessions

Jenni
Reiki and Rahanni Healing · trained in the UK

Jenni is trained in both Reiki and Rahanni, and in both she is qualified as an instructor as well as a practitioner — she teaches them as well as gives them. She trained and qualified in the UK, where Rahanni originates. A session is 65 €. Jenni does not diagnose and does not give medical advice: this sits alongside medical care and does not replace it.

Questions

What people ask us about this

Do I need to book the meditation studio?

Not for using it yourself. It is open to members without a booking, and the gym is open 24/7, so you can come when it suits you. The exception is the guided session held once a month, which you sign up for in advance by asking. If you want to know whether more than one person can use the room at once, ask at the gym.

Is the studio included in my membership?

Yes. It comes with your membership in the same way the gym floor and the group room do. Every price is on the memberships and prices page. The only thing paid for separately is the guided session held once a month, 18 €.

What if I have never meditated?

You can use the studio at your own pace without any guidance: sit down, breathe in and out and let your thoughts go where they want. If you would rather have some structure, bring your headphones and whichever app you already use, or come to the guided session held once a month.

What does the guided session cost, and how do I join?

The guided session is held in the meditation studio once a month and costs 18 €. There is no product for it in the shop, so sign up by asking: ring 044 978 9941, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, email info@sisufitness.fi or ask at the gym. We will tell you the date of the next one.

What happens in a Rahanni or Reiki session?

You stay fully clothed and lie on a treatment couch, under a light blanket if you want one. Seated works too. The practitioner rests their hands lightly on or just above your body and moves them slowly from one position to the next. There is no massage and no manipulation. The room is quiet, and it is worth allowing about an hour. Some people feel warmth or tingling, some relax deeply, some fall asleep — and some feel nothing in particular. All of that is normal.

Who gives the session?

Jenni. She is trained in both Reiki and Rahanni, and in both she is qualified as an instructor as well as a practitioner: she teaches them as well as gives them. A session is 65 €, the same for either. If you would like to ask something before you book, ring 044 978 9941 or send a WhatsApp message to the same number. She trained and qualified in the UK, which is where Rahanni originates.

What is the difference between Rahanni and Reiki?

They are two different traditions. Reiki is Japanese and dates from the early twentieth century, developed by Mikao Usui. Rahanni Celestial Healing is English and dates from 2002; it was developed by Carol Anne Stacey, a Reiki Master. From the outside a session looks the same: clothed, lying down, light touch, about an hour. We are not going to rank them — some people get on with one and some with the other. Rahanni's own organisation says the two are not mixed in one session, so you book one or the other. We run both, and both are 65 €.

What does a session cost, and how long does it take?

A session is 65 €, and it is worth allowing about an hour. The price is the same for Rahanni and for Reiki. Sessions are given by Jenni, who is trained in both and qualified as an instructor in both. There is no shop product and no online calendar, so arrange a time with a person: ring 044 978 9941, send a WhatsApp message to the same number or ask at the gym. You will hear what times are free at the same time.

Is this health care?

No. Rahanni and Reiki sit alongside medical care and do not replace it, and Jenni does not diagnose or give medical advice. We do not offer physiotherapy at all. If something about your health is on your mind, raise it with your doctor first, and come to us afterwards to train or to sit in a quiet room.

Come and look, then decide

Book a free trial visit or join as a member in the shop. Either takes under five minutes, and card, ePassi and Smartum are all accepted. The meditation studio is yours from your first day as a member. Rahanni and Reiki sessions are arranged on the phone or at the desk rather than in the shop: a session is 65 €, given by Jenni, who is qualified to teach both Reiki and Rahanni as well as to practise them. Ring 044 978 9941 or message us on WhatsApp.
